Sidecar In Our Daily Lives

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Motorcycles have a lot of use in our daily lives. They’re not just for personal transportation but also for business purposes. Still, motorcycle performance can be maximized just by adding a sidecar. A sidecar is a small car with a wheel of its own attached beside the motorcycle. Motorcycles with sidecars are thus called called trikes or tricycles. Sidecars are versatile and have lots of advantages in our lives. For one, a sidecar increases the load capacity of the motorcycle, making it appropriate as a public transportation just like a taxi or rickshaw. In many Asian countries, a motorcycle is a valuable investment since it immediately transforms into a source of living just by attaching a sidecar. Trikes come in many different designs and forms, making city streets a colorful bustling place anytime. Sidecars can be also used as mobile patrols by the law enforcement sector, because of its ease in going in and out of busy streets. And for a small scale business, a tricycle can be the perfect vehicle for delivering goods and other not-so-heavy items .

Aside from its increased loading capacity, a sidecar is the perfect alternative vehicle for hanging around with friends. Just like cars, sidecars can be also customized with body kits. In fact, trikes are used on motorsports. There are no exceptions with sidecars because whether it’s big or small motorcycles, old or used sidecars are applicable to them. Unlike other automobiles such as cars, trucks, and utes, tricycles have limited load capacity. Also, trikes are understandably not as fast as motorcycles because of the sidecar attachment. Tricycles are sometimes hard to maneuver on steep curves. Lastly, this kind of vehicle uses only 2 brakes.
